PRR 2-8-0

The almost-identical H8, H9 and H10 Consolidations were the most common type of steam locomotive on the PRR. Although replaced in heavy freight service by larger engines, consolidations handled branchline freight, work trains, switching service, and pretty much everything else.
The construction will be the same as our other loco kits. Lost wax brass details, pewter castings for the boiler, cab, tender, domes, etc., photo-etched brass sheet for the frame, running boards, rods, etc. All are precision-made components that fit together well with easy-to-follow instructions that include lots of exploded drawings. Low-temp solder is best for construction.
However, to get this project going, we need 100 deposits of $150.00 per loco. Deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable unless the project is canceled by B.T.S. due to lack of interest in the S scale market for the PRR 2-8-0.
We have decided that while the deposits have not reached the required number, we are proceeding with this project. Parts are being made now, but the complete kit is still a long-term project.
Final payment - Due when the loco kits are shipped from the builder.
Your benefits for supporting this project... two fold. First, you will receive an excellent kit that will build into a super model. And second, those putting up deposits will receive a 10% discount off the final price of the loco.
