McCabe Oil Tank

The locomotive fuel was switched from wood to oil years ago and this tank handles the job of fueling the locomotives. An old tank car body has been placed on a sturdy timber frame. Oil is delivered by tank car and pumped into the tank.

The oil tank has a footprint of a scale 13' x 33' and the pump house is a scale 9' x 16'. The pump house includes interior framing, flooring, positionable windows and door, removable roof, individual battens that can be left off for a board siding. The kit consists of a styrene tank casting and oil column, brass and white metal details, and laser-cut wood components.
