Tenders supplied steam locomotives with their needed coal and water. And these same needs were found in the steam-powered wreck cranes. Older tenders were transfered to wreck train service to feed the cranes. A simple modification replaced the front drawbar connection with a standard coupler.
This model was inspired by a Wabash prototype. The coal carried was around 15 tons, and it had a 7,700 gallon water capacity.
The unpainted O Scale kit consists of high-quality, no-odor urethane castings with a single-piece body shell, Weaver trucks, and brass details. Easy assembly with ACC or epoxy. Less decals and couplers.
