McCabe Pump House

One item critical for the operation and survival of the sawmill complex is water. Water is pumped from the mill pond or river into storage tanks around the complex where it feeds the various boilers.

The pump house seems to be the collection point for many pieces of junk and clutter including the 1876 Challenger Pump that has been removed from service. A pipe rack stands along side the pump house to hold the various leftover pieces of pipe.

This kit consists of laser-cut basswood, plywood, and cardstock, tarpaper roofing, and detail castings. The tabbed, well-engineered construction provides fast and easy assembly. The kit can be built as shown on the stone foundation, or on flatland with a timber foundation.

The footprint is about 24' x 28'. The HO model is shown; some details will vary between scales.
