The B.T.S. McCabe Lumber Co. Series would not be complete without a set of logging camp cars. Logging camps had to be portable so the loggers could have easy access to the timber. The facilities included bunk cars, dining and kitchen cars, shower cars, and the necessary office and blacksmith car. These kits are based upon the standard gauge Rayonier Lumber Co. prototypes and all are limited production kits.

These cars will look great on a spur in the woods or parked on a couple of tracks near the sawmill. Narrow gauge modelers can simply build the cars and place them beside the track on stacks of timbers.

The HO camp cars are offered in two sets;   Set I #28265 includes a Bunk Car (Single Clerestory), Bunk Car (Triple Clerestory), Shower Car, Office Car, and Blacksmith Car;     Set II #28270 includes the Cookhouse Car and two Dining Cars (one for each side of the cookhouse car.) Each set includes the ramps and walkways. Additional bunk cars of both types will be available separately in small quantities - all others are being sold in sets only. Kits are less trucks and couplers - the sample models use Walthers' archbar trucks and Kadee #58 couplers.

These kits consist of laser-cut basswood, plywood, and cardstock, corrugated roofing, and plastic, brass and white-metal detail castings for the HO kits including 55-Gal Drums, Boxes, Buckets, Dog, Door Handles, Door Knobs, Fruit Barrel, Barrels, Trash Cans, Jugs, Junk Boxes and Drums, Queen Posts, Lamp Shades, Milk Cans, Pigeons, Rats, and a couple of workers. Positionable window sashes and doors are standard B.T.S. features. The tabbed, well-engineered construction provides fast and easy assembly. HO models shown; some details may vary between scales.
